Ideal for use with plain synthetic materials. The leaf spring between the blades provides for permanent non - fatiguing "easy-go" handling. The micro-serrated edge of one blade prevents uncontrolled slipping when working with plain fabrics. Efficient rust protection inside and out, i.e. blade outer surfaces nickel-plated, with extra chrome-plating on all surfaces. Handles with black/gold japanese lacquer finish.

ROBUSO Proton ® the "high-tech" Shears representing a further and new ROBUSO-development designed to produce greatly improved cutting results with such "high-tech" materials as are ARAMIDE (i.e. KEVLAR ® and TWARON ®), DYNEEMA ®, glass- and carbon fiber fabrics. ROBUSO proton shears are successfully production floor tested at customer level - and in high demand ever since. A special-formula dark blue ,high-tech coating' provides for efficient protection against abrasive wear in that it reinforces the super-hard, approx. 2.800 HV, blade edge zones, with the frictional heat, generated during the cutting operation, continuously restoring the original protective ceramic oxide layer. This ,high-tech' coating is highly durable, withstands UV-radiation as much as palm sweat and is extensively oxidation-resistant. Another advantage of this special-formula coating is its high slide friction coefficient, which provides for distinctly ,easy-cut' characteristics. The chemically indifferent behaviour of this coating reduces - upon comparison with uncoated shears - the blade caking tendency considerably, a significant user facilitation when working with adhesive-coated materials.
